Have lived a block away from this place for 5 months and only just tried it yesterday.
Amazing.
Such a cool little speakeasy. Literally thought it was an actual hardware store for the first 2 months we were here. And then I thought it was a hardware store by day and a speakeasy by night..which would have also been cool. Finally realized it's just a cocktail bar.
The decor is well thought out and the lighting is dim and adds to the prohibition-style character.
Cocktail list is extensive. Staff is extremely helpful in helping with drink decisions.
The bartenders are talented and focused on streamlining drink after drink professionally. Very cool.

We stopped in as we waited for our table @ MP Taverna, so we only had one round. There were no available seats or tables, so we stood across from the bar.
Can't wait to go back and try another new, sassy cocktail. And sit in what look like glorious, plush velvet chairs and couches.

Not for savages. There is some fine cocktail smithery here! Drinks of all natures and friendly yet educated staff to meet any libation need.

A dark sexy speak easy feel. Deliciously weird free popcorn. Strangely authentic cocktails.

Very good cocktailbar in Queens. Perfect atmosphere, very friendly staff, great popcorn with truffle spiced oil and most of all: the cocktails taste very good (although not cheap).

Would definitely recommend this for a date night, or if you just in for a perfect drink.

Maybe the drinks are a little overpriced, maybe some of the cocktails don't make a lot sense, maybe the decor throws you off. But my God, do you feel like you're at the top of the Rock when you're inside. This place makes you feel like an executive, if only just a moment. The comfy, luxurious booths, posh drinks, and sophisticated employees give you a good reason to dress up and head inside.

Astoria needed a place like this; a place where you could get a drink without all of the shouting, kicking, and unruliness that are present in other bars. Really a place to have a nice sip and hold a conversation with friends. Truly excellent.
