One of the finest, family-owned Japanese restaurants in NY. Incredible Japanese cooking that is always made with care and precision.
I have been going to this place since 2009 and just visited for the first time in a while (I’ve moved far away). The food is just as amazing as always, it is truly the best Japanese food in NYC. The service is impeccable and every bite is incredible. It was well worth the 3 hour round trip we took today just to enjoy this amazing meal.
Excellent food and a lovely vibe, welcoming and down-to-earth but also sophisticated in an understated way. My favorite entree is the black cod, and the tomato and asparagus salad is delicious and fresh. The sushi is on par with the best I’ve had in Manhattan. Everything I've eaten has been good and beautifully presented. Each time I've been, I've had the same server, and she's wonderful. The clientele is a great cross-section of Queens and makes me love living here even more than I usually do. I recommend making a reservation -- it gets crowded, especially on weekends.
Always have wonderful meals here. The sushi is made with quality fish and the other items on the menu are intricate and delicious as well. This establishment is for those who seek high quality sushi. Some people do not understand that this is a reservation only dinner spot. It is Michelin star rated and not a take-out place. It is something of a gem, to be appreciated in the neighborhood.
