You're at JFK terminal 1. The choices are not good. This place outside would suck. Here, you shoud feel lucky. Service is okay but often there is only one server with long wait times. The food is expectedly over priced and nothing great. Be nice, be patient, shut up and eat. Or bring your own food and sit at the gate. Beer selection is good.
The choices at JFK's terminal 1 are pretty limited. The beers on tap are mostly by the numbers, and the food probably got warmed up in a turbo atmosphere. It's probably better (and possibly cheaper) that what you will get on a plane, but it isn't hard to find somewhere that does better quality, better prepared food, even in a bar. I had a burger, and the bun was dry and a too crunchy, the meat was a little tasteless but not too dry, thankfully. The lager I chose was okay, but I've had plenty with more flavor. Nothing offensive, but nothing to write home about.
Craving a pre-flight glass of wine, then grab a seat here and sample some of the featured Hudson Valley varietals. Love the sidewalk café setting.
