Sometimes I do thank heaven for 7-11
Eh, Its a typical 7-Eleven fast food joint.
Location: Adjacent to the Astoria-Ditmars Blvd. subway station in Long Island City, NY.
The Place: Fairly Typical. Place can certainly use a major cleaning, especially the beverage refrigerator handles and shelving. It's pretty common to grab a bottle of soda that is disgustingly sticky. The place also needs to do a better job at policing the place. In the morning, the entire coffee area becomes a dump from patrons acting like animals. In the afternoon school children make a dump out of the slurpee machines and the soft serve soda fountains. In addition. The hot food displays are disgusting. I can only imaging what type of breeding grounds that is for germs.
The staff: Being a frequent AM customer, I'm greeted by Brandon on a regular basis. He is always friendly and outgoing. When theres not a line in the store hes very sociable. Then theres Sayed..
He is the most miserable person I've ever met who doesnt want to do anything besides give customers looks and complain about his job.
Overall, give the place a big scrub down, and police the place a bit better and I'm sure customer satisfaction will rise.
Convenient location to get some quick snacks before you hop the train or moov anywhere else around the neighborhood. Just like most of the other 7-Elevens that are in New York City, they do have a somewhat decent variety of products on the shelves. Recommend for the few who are running late and don't have time for breakfast.
