Taste of Cochin

Overall nice experience, I am a native from south India, Hyderabad!!

I am giving it 3 stars mainly coz of the terrible hospitality, which deserves a zero star. However, the food is super fantastic. I can't emphasize enough how great and authentic the food was. In America where mostly all the desi restaurants have become Americanized with no flavours or spices and almost everything you order tasting like chicken tikka masala, this was a surprising delight. Every food item had its original taste and flavour and very kairali like. It's my most fav place to eat in the whole of USA but coz of the terrible hospitality/service I think twice before going. The waiters need to be trained to be more welcoming and warm towards customer rather than make the customers feel like a burden. I had ordered a lemonade and the guy refused me right away saying they don't have it. Like what? Are you telling me you don't have half a piece of lime/ lemon, water and a bit of sugar In your whole kitchen? They need to be more customer oriented and have a better catering attitude. I have had Kerala cuisine from multiple parts of Kerala and was always moved by their humility, and great hospitality so it was quite unexpected. If only they worked on this aspect I would visit them without hesitation.

The food is very good tastes! And the owner of the restaurant is very friendly in nature!
but there is very bad customer service ie:the waiter and he who strives to manage there the felow is utterly worst ????

I only order Indian delivery food because they offer dishes that I cannot cook myself! I got the "Taste of Cochin Thali Special," and every dish was fantastic! For $45 it offers a lot of food, and the leftovers will last throughout the weekend. Out of all the Indian places I've tried, this is now my new favorite- thank you!
