Small, lovely Italian comfort food spot. Feels low-key classy. No bread when you sit down (only ding), but everything was fantastic. The wild boar lasagna was a highlight, and for dessert you have to get the sweet baby jesus cake (named because the owner tried it and exclaimed "sweet baby jesus that's good"). Not even super expensive for the quality of food and vibe of the place. Wine on tap was great.
My (now) wife and I decided to have our engagement party here after this place quickly became one of our favorite local restaurants. We were so pleased we did because the food blew all our guests away! We were able to rent it out to have the whole place to ourselves which was great for the party of our size. Waitstaff was incredible with service. It was a perfect day to enjoy our closest friends and family. And we have been here many times since. Menu is always changing and focused on local ingredients and amazing detail. Unfortunately we don’t live in Astoria anymore but talk about making a trip in just to have dinner here again. One of our favorite restaurants of all time. Perfect date night spot.
Their meatball appetizer is a must! The salad with burrata melts in your mouth. The affogato for dessert will not disappoint and the staff are friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere!
By far the best Italian place in Astoria, bordering on the best restaurant period.
Always changing specials, amazing regular menu that delivers across the board. And if you know and appreciate your wines, the rotating wine list consistently has over-performing and interesting obscure wines.
Service is top notch with a great local feel. A true staple of Astoria!!
Little hidden gem in Astoria. Wonderful Italian food. Menu is a little small, but that just means what they have is that much better. Their wild boar lasagna is amazing, as are their pizza. They rotate the menu fairly regularly, so there's always something new to try. Whatever you do, leave room for the Baby Jesus cake at the end, it's heavenly.
