Bellwether

I have visited this place multiple times now, both for dinner and brunch. The menu has delicious great options for everyone. Whether you want pasta, red meat, or a light vegetarian option, they have it. The servers and staff are friendly and attentive. The cocktails are delicious and a must try. Bellwether is a great addition to the neighborhood and I look forward to dining again.

Having lived in LIC for 8 years now, it’s great to finally see some better quality eating establishments standing on the many fast food shoulders that have littered the neighborhood. This was our first time trying out Bellwether and we were prompted by its recent Michelin recommended status. First thing you notice is the clean and modern feeling decor, second thing you notice is the giddy feeling you get when you see the cocktail menu. Oh the cocktails!! That was the highlight of the evening for us, they clearly have hired quality bartenders who can mix a drink or 2 and at a fraction of cost you’d pay over the river. Our food was ok. The patty melt looked impressive when it arrived but sadly my burger was over cooked (asked for medium but came well done and became a little chewy) but the man sized portion of French fries eased some of the disappointment. Service was good and attentively friendly. Overall enough positives to go back and give it another go! (Photo shows the patty melt burger and wombat cocktail)

Good food, good cocktails, great service, a little on the pricey end. Although LIC prices are rising this is definitely one of the more expensive options on Vernon. With that said if you don't mind an extra 10-25pp this is a great option. Food is fresh and we'll executed. Drinks have good complexity to them and the wait staff are very diligent. Would come back again.

So happy I found this place. I always would pass it on the corner of Vernon Blvd and was interested as it's an attractive corner restaurant. Finally stopped in one day and was so happy with everything starting from the greeting from the host and hostess. They sat us immediately at a table near the window/street and got us water while we waited for our server. The drinks were on point, the food was amazing & fresh. Definitely recommend for date night/girls night out with friends!

The food was really good, tasted fresh and delicious.
The atmosphere is pleasant.
The staff were very nice and professional.

Nothing to complain about.

Dinner for two without appetizers + 2 glasses of wine was about $100.
