Vanessa's Dumpling House

Great dumplings but be prepared to wait.

Food was good but not hot enough. Terrible service. It felt like I'm inconveniencing than by planning an order.

Walking distance of the strongest dumpling game on the East Coast, so tough call on their namesake. But like all of the Vanessa's locations, these are some of the best szechuan wontons in the city. Each location is sightly different; the wontons here are either shrimp & chicken, or vegetarian. Also excellent sesame noodles, homemade & served warm w/ super fresh veg. Bonus: located in a brand new co-working "factory" with lots of seating options + sweet staff + good people watching.

A nice little eatery located inside The Factory building, it focuses on Asian cuisine. You can get dumplings, noodles, or pancake sandwiches to stay or to go. I tried the Dan Dan Mein and it was pretty good. If you aren't a heavy eater, it's still good for lunch the day after. It was a bit spicy with a generous serving of peanuts on top. The prices are comparable to the eateries located inside the same building.

The restaurant does get a bit hot with the cooking in the summer, so you may want to wait outside in the lobby with AC until they call your number. When it gets busy you do have to wait a bit. The queue usually gets crazy from 12 PM - 1:30 PM. If you want to beat the lines, go before or after those times.

The staff is friendly enough and they accept cash and credit/debit.
