    Eat the World NYC review:
    The humble mid-block location of Carniceria Mexicana on Northern Boulevard should not be underestimated for big flavors and interesting options. This meat market is also a popular taqueria, constantly full of eaters grabbing things to go and some using the spot's three tables.

    On a first visit we tried the "house" items first brought to our attention by @tacoliteracy, including a taco, torta, and quesadilla. The hand-written signs add a welcoming atmosphere that is strengthened by the friendly and warm people that run the place. In total, this is definitely up there with the area's great market kitchens and benefits from being open 7 days a week.

    Excellent Mexican food. Reminds me of the authentic meals I had while on vacation in Mexico. Be wary of the spicy dishes, some are soft but others aren't for the faint of heart. Delicious in every way!!
