I was in the mood for wonton noodle soup and did not want to go to main st. I saw this lovely little cafe and decided to stop in. I ordered the wonton noodle soup and a egg tomato sandwich. The broth was flavorful and not overly full of MSG there was an assortment of condiments to add. The Wontons were delicious and came with a whole shrimp that is well cleaned and cooked the pork adds a salty richness that brings it together. Only downside was that the sandwich was just that tomato and a fried egg, but what should I expect for $2.50? I also wish their was black vinegar provided instead of red wine vinegar. Solid spot
It's a nice niche Hong Kong style cafe. Nice decor. Self serve style service, place order at cashier and wait for your number to be called and usually in Cantonese, if you speak Mandarin, needs to pay extra attention. Food is average, not a fan of disposable food containers. People praise on their Hong Kong style milk tea, I found it just above average. Dispose your own garbage and recycle plastic containers. There is a drain bin to dispose of drinks and soup. Expect long wait during rush hour. Street parking only, expect to walk a little, front door spots usually all taken.
Ordered the wanton noodle soup and curry fishballs.
Price is extremely reasonable and food is great.
The wantons come with a whole shrimp in each one. The noodle was cooked to the perfect al dente texture. I can tell the place use good quality fish balls for their curry (nice “chewy” texture not the cheap soft kind).
Overall very happy. 5 stars food at 1 star price. Will be back to try some of their other dishes.
I am middle school student near the area and after school ends I visit this place to get food. I find the food cheap and have been going there pretty often to get myself bubble tea.
Absolutely one of the best cafe I've seen so far. I tried out the chicken wings and the beef ball noodle soup this weekend and it was such a unique experience for me. The food was amazing, I never tasted anything like this before. Will come back again!
