Anassa Taverna Astoria

The ambience and atmosphere here is super awesome! Literally had the best octopus I've ever had. I would come back for the complimentary bread and hummus alone cause even that was incredible. We had the branzino and lamb chops which were both absolutely perfect! We sat at the bar for a more casual dining experience and the servers were friendly and social.

The food was awesome!!! I had a grilled snapper and omg so good. Portions are healthy and reasonably priced. The ambiance was upscale, warm and welcoming. The hospitality was genuine. My lady and I got drinks on the house, so random but it’s the little things that count the most. This place is a DESTINATION not a typical location. Thank you to all the courteous staff!!!

Our Sunday evening dinner at Anassa was a great experience from beginning to end. The delicious menu items were enhanced by the excellent welcoming treatment we received from our warm and friendly server, Constantino. He really went above and beyond to answer any questions we had, offer explanations of menu items that had us excited for a culinary teleportation back to Greece, and introduce us to delicious Greek liqueur, Mastic. I will definitely be a repeat customer whenever I have a craving for authentic Greek cuisine.

From the moment you walk through the doors its an incredible experience from start to finish. The ambiance is beautiful the food is delicious and the staff are amazing. Don't take my word for it. Check it out for yourself! Oh and dont forget to get the octopus, sausage and cheese plates!
