HAPPY GARDEN BAYSIDE

I am so glad that this new Chinese restaurant opened in Bayside. This is my new go to place for traditional Chinese (Cantonese) cuisine without having to deal with the traffic and crowds of Flushing (a huge plus for anyone who’s had to drive in Flushing)! We called in advanced and ordered live Alaskan King Crab, which was made three ways (1) crispy golden king crab legs with fried garlic and chili, (2) steamed king crab legs over garlic egg noodle, (3) king crab fried rice. My favorite was the crispy crab legs but every preparation was so flavorful and brought out the freshness of the crab in a different way that there was something for everyone. The crab meat was also so succulent and came in large chunks as well so it was plenty for me and my family. We left stuffed and would definitely come back again!

This place is great. The food is so fresh, the menu has a lot to offer with creative items, and the staff is super friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend this place!

We are so glad that a restaurant with authentic Cantonese dishes and dim sum is finally here in Bayside. Although the restaurant is new and is still getting everything working smoothly, the owner has been in business for 20+ years. We have ordered from them twice. We are completely happy with each dish. People are friendly and the food is delicious.

We were hesitant to try this place out based on the other reviews. In the end we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt try it out. We’re glad we did! While the server was clearly inexperienced, she was very friendly and a manager promptly stepped in the guide her whenever necessary. We ordered the 2 lobster dish, sautéed string beans, fried crispy pork intestines, boiled spicy beef, and the braised pork belly with preserved vegetables. Everything was authentic, delicious, and cooked perfectly. The pork belly was a little sweet for my tastes but this is typical for this dish in Cantonese cuisine. Will return!
