THIS PLACE IS NOW "UMMA-SOHN!" under new ownership Meaning "Mom's hand" and it is indeed prepared just like mom's cooking for family!!!
I keep searching for this particular Korean noodle dish called "Kalguksoo." Tried them all and never found "The perfect one" till today. I've been to this Kunsohn noodle while under previous owners and I totally agree with former reviews 100% but decided to try it again having heard that it's under new management. I really feel there should be a way to dump all the reviews under former owners and start a fresh set of reviews. THEY DEFINITELY DESERVE IT!
They are the pinnacle of what a Kalguksoo restaurant should be. Very friendly and they just wowed me as soon as they brought the side dish of kimchee and pickled radish which was so out of this world and looked very inviting and I knew I was in for a treat.
My wife had wild sesame kalguksoo and I tried the very basic one that a kalguksoo restaurants are judged on, the clam kalguksoo. Both were right on the money and I must say I don't remember ever licking the bottom of the bowl but did this time! And the kimchee dumpling? Better than what my mom made and I actually got an extra order to take home. I am not known for being generous with compliments but I must say, I was totally impressed and absolutely satisfied first time in a long long time.
The restaurant was not busy and I believe that's due to negative reviews of the previous management and not of current. You absolutely must try and judge it yourself. We finally got a real kalguksoo restaurant that's worth every penny. Definitely six stars!!!!
Love this place. Authentic Korean food that’s really delicious.
The food wasn't bed service was really bad
More rural Korean fare but excellently executed. Pajun is spectacular and the addition of young perilla to soups is a creamy delight.
