The best mexican restaurant thus far. We loved the family oriented atmosphere

This restuarant has one of the best mole's. Mole Guerrero taste so delicious, very unique flavoring. If you don't see it on the menu, order it, it's their special dish! Love it!!

Came after a popular food magazine recommended it. Ordered mole guerrero and steak burrito. My husband had the burrito, which was good, but the mole was outstanding! Spicy and richly flavored, I wolfed it down and then my husband cleaned the plate after me. Would definitely come back!

Ok I loved the tacos I had alot, but the lack of air conditioning in 100 degree weather was a buzz kill. My waitress my so cute and sweet and I appreciate the clean restroom (it's unisex btw) but man that heat was almost unbearable. It's a very kitchy Mexican spot with 2 big TVs I'm sure they clean up on Cinco de Mayo and Soccer nights. Honestly I've seen other not so favorable reviews which I think are unfair. My only gripe today was the heat inside other than that I can see a real problem.

    MÉXICO ?? (Guerrero)
    Eat the World NYC review:
Recently while walking down to Maspeth, the hand-written sign in the window stopped me in my tracks from across the street and altered an entire day's eating plans. What is this you say? A mole from Guerrero? Wandering in to pick up a menu, a conversation confirmed that the chef was from this southern state.

With those other plans were scrapped, a plate of the mole tradicional guerrence ($16.95) was ordered and immensely enjoyed. Along with rice and beans, the mole comes out almost glowing, a bright red and deep burgundy somehow cohabitating. The sauce has a granular quality to it, thick with sesame seeds and half the spices in the pantry. The heat tickles the front of your tongue right on the first bite.

For the time being, this is the only item from Guerrero available, but the reply from the server hinted at the possibility of more in the future. This should be everyone's cue to go and show interest so that they know the market is hungry for traditional foods from the state. I remember a fresh and light green mole in travels through Guerrero as well and can only hope this makes its way to the restaurant.
