I decided to try this place on a whim and now, I might be a regular. There is not other Korean fried chicken places around here and better yet, it is right inside of a supermarket. The convenience in addition to the taste definitely makes me want to revisit again. The chicken is made fresh per order so it is perfectly crispy and juicy. There are a variety of sides that you can try and they even have chicken sandwiches. I will unquestionably be back to try more of their items because I have yet to be disappointed!
Ordered the solo set, the food came out fast, good price and great taste, and the cashier was friendly and helpful.
Edit: Visited a second time, tried the chicken sandwich. The chicken was still good, but the bread was small and flimsy, especially if you waited to take it home. There should be an option for a more substantial bun.
Just newly open in the neighborhood, I've heard some great things about them! Tim the employee there is super nice and informative on the menu which is surprising because many employees at other establishments are not so patient and information as him! Definitely check this place out! It won't hurt!
My first impression: it was just another Korean fried chicken place and it was more expensive than other places. So when there was a special going on, I finally gave it a try.
I liked that the portion was generous, that it made it worth the price. Although chicken did not seem to have base flavor underneath and moo was a bit bland, overall taste was decent. But here's what I did not understand. The sauce was not enough. When it says Korean sweet chili sauce, I expect the chicken to be fully covered, but it was only a drizzle. If it was only this amount, they should not be charging extra for the sauce (it seems from the reviews, some customers did get a lot of sauce? Hope there is some kind of consistency).
I'm all for supporting small businesses over franchises, but I believe that there must be something (like taste, price, etc.) that makes them attractive to be competitive. On that note, Rokstar lacks that attractiveness and I probably will not come back unless there is some kind of improvement.
I had the Korean sweet chili chicken sandwich which was so tasty and delicious, so were the Sweet potato fries. I will definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend! Also great customer service, the guy who took my order was very friendly and patient while I made up my mind of what I wanted.
