SUWON GALBI (수원 갈비)

My Korean friend took me here because she knows I love Korean BBQ. You know this place is legit when you’re the only white guy surrounded by Koreans. Wow! Was so impressed by the food and service. I like that the waitress placed the cooked pieces in foil by the side so they don’t burn or get cold. If you like quality meat and delicious abundant side dishes, this is the place for you. Way better than most of the other Korean places in Flushing/Murray Hill and worth the trek. Located right near the LIRR which is a plus.

Had the best Korean BBQ last night with family. We saw this new restaurant opened up in my neighborhood and decided to give it a try. There was a line out the door, but it moved fairly quickly and we were seated after 15-20min wait. The hostess and the waitress was nice and attentive. The price was surprisingly affordable given the usual Korean BBQ prices in other restaurants in Flushing. We were able to park on Northern Blvd for free cause it was after meter hours. Food was very good! I overheard that the owner of the restaurant was the previous owner of Mapo Galbi and she brought some of her staff to cook the ban chans (side dishes) which are as authentic Korean as it gets. The Bibim Naeng Myun is sooo good I wish I ordered more. Just the right amount of heat and sweetness, noodle was perfect consistency and it paired so well with the meat. Speaking of which, the meats are grilled to perfection by the waitress and she puts it on foil for you so it stays warm without burning. They don’t turn off the fire like some other places do, which irks me, making my meat cold. Very attentive service and our waitress made sure to refill our side dishes which I appreciated! Overall I highly recommend this place!

Wife and I tried out this new place. She is Korean, and said Suwon is as authentic as it gets. Bright, roomy space and the vent system prevented our clothes from smelling like BBQ. I ordered both the pork and beef BBQ. As a meat lover I was VERY satisfied! Both cuts of meat were tender, juicy and well marinated. Wife tried soondubu soup and spicy squid. She said soondubu had tons of seafood and very tasty. They also gave us a LOT of banchan (side dishes) which were way more authentic than some of the made up dishes that other Korean restaurants serve nowadays. Pricing on par. Parking can be tricky but go around back to the residential areas within 1-2 block radius. Friendly, prompt service was icing on the cake. We’ve gone back several times already!

This korean bbq place is so good! the staffs here are very nice and foods are so good here. Excellent taste, wonderful service, good price. I will go back this restaurant. 10/10 recommend!

This place is insane!! AUTHENTIC korean place. If you had cold noodle with galbi. That's it. NO MORE WORDS NEEDED. Do I definitely recommend this. Just try anything what you want korean place 🧡🆗
