Get real Louisiana Cajun spiced fried chicken at Popeye's instead. Monthly affordable $5 specials usually provide a speciality chicken variant with biscuit, french fries and a signature side dish.
Like my favorite Popeye's franchises, next to the register, this restaurant had a jar of whole Jalapenos at 25¢ each.
The location is in the STATEN ISLAND FOOD DISTRICT (food court) second floor new wing. The cavernous addition has a variety of seating, high back benches, intimate tables for two, large banquet tables to seat a dozen, and bar height tables with or without stools for dining in a rush.
