Great meal! Very good pizza, calamari as good as s I have had anywhere. We even got 2 extra squares to take home. Good to have you on the Island.
I’ve had friends eat at the original Di Fara’s in Brooklyn and they describe the pizza as amazing…. This one in Staten Island falls way short of amazing. Crust over cooked and tough and the pizza just seemed old. I ordered it to go and it was not horrible but just ok. But for $35 a pie, I would have hoped for a better flavor. In a borough where you can throw a rock and hit 4 pizzerias I would have hoped for this to be incredible. I was just disappointed. I will probably not order from here again. Not because it was terrible. But because there are at least 3 places w better cold pizza than this, supposed, fresh one.
Pics are of the $35 Avenue J pie and $25 regular pizza Pie
Needed to see what the fuss was about with this “new” pizzeria. I’ve been to the one in Brooklyn and I just say it’s pretty much the same. You can tell the ingredients are fresh. I enjoyed it and I didn’t mind the 4 dollar price point because of the quality of the slice. I don’t know if I would travel out of my way for it but it’s very good and you won’t be disappointed
Went on opening night and had a 1/2 pepperoni pie. It was delicious cooked perfectly and taste was amazing. Loved the cup pepperoni it was so good. Even though the place was so busy, the staff was so friendly and helpful. They did an amazing job. I cant wait to try the chicken parm that I saw at another table it looked huge and scrumptious. I would definitely tell anyone to try this place out, it will be worth your while.
Best thing to happen to S.I.! I enjoyed 2 squares, without having to go over the bridge to get the best pizza on the east coast! The square was nice and crispy and the mutz was delicious! The place and people are really nice and friendly !
