Mercato Roman Pizza

Wow. Delicious pizza. Amazing crust and high quality ingredients. Had 3 small pies with 2 appetizers for 4 people. More than enough but we finished it all because so delicious. Could not stop eating. Potato pie, sausage and a pepperoni. Terrific. Not to be missed. I will likely drive the 30 minutes just for takeout. Large pies are really large. Best for a group.

Don't walk - Run to Mercato for the best pizza experience of your life. As an Italian girl from Brooklyn, Mercato's pizza surpassed anything I've had in NYC and even Italy! Go with a group, order one of every delicious pizza to share and have the time of your life. Yes - I'm passionate about great food and I'll be back soon! I live in PA but grew up in Tappan so I visit my mom, that is still there, as frequent as possible. Friday when I got to town I decided to grab a slice of pizza from this new place Mercato.
Walked in, asked for a slice, and was told no, we have a different way of doing pizza. Anthony, one of the owners educated me on Roman style pizza makers.
He asked what I liked, I saw Brussels Sprouts on the menu, I told him them, he said "I'm going to make you a pizza you will love and never forget!"
Well, he wasn't lying!!! It was one of the best pizza's I've EVER had!!!
Came home and told my husband that was probably in my TOP 5 things I've ever eaten!!! And we are foodies!!!
I promise you, even if you don't care for Brussels Sprouts, this will change your world!!!
I only ate two small pieces that night because I wanted to save the rest for a birthday brunch we were having the next day, well, every guest that took a bite was amazed!!! SO DELICIOUS! is all I heard!!!
Can't wait to try more next time in town!!!

We had dinner at the new establishment tonight. We had several kinds of pizza. All were amazing with a unique flavor and very special crust. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a vegan in our company and there were several options for them as well. I would recommend checking it out.
