Country Drive-In

Classic place. A little expensive... But good, simple, drive up food in a fun community atmosphere. Be aware that it's on a very busy main road, so be careful with little kids.

Not being a native of the Clifton Park/Halfmoon area, I wasn't sure what to expect when my boyfriend and I visited the Country Drive-In with his family for dinner one night. Although their season had just started, it was quickly made apparent how popular the place is! The line to wait for food was long but moved quickly. We were able to secure a table in their covered patio that was great (I believe it even had fans mounted for when summer temps get to be sweltering!). We were there late but didn't feel rushed at all to finish our meal. Their prices are very reasonable and the staff is always pleasant to talk to (we've been there several times since my first visit). We really enjoy visiting the Country Drive-In!

I've been getting ice cream here since I was a kid. Their rotating special flavors are great, and so is a dish of chocolate twist.

The vibe is nice and relaxed, though parking can be tight and lines can get upwards of 10 minutes on a busy night. People will often bring dogs and there are always kids around.

Always a good time. The only downside for me is that they're cash-only!

Outdoor eatery that has been open for over 30 years. Best food of the various outdoor eateries in the capital region and the crowds back that up. Regularly quite busy but the food is served quickly. Ice cream is also great as are the prices. Surprising range of food for the type of establishment, personal favorites are the buffalo chicken sandwich and the Michigan fries. Different special flavored soft serve each week and lots of outdoor seating including an enclosed area for chilly evenings.

I love it here. Their gluten free chicken strips are the best around. Lots of gluten free options! Gluten free sugar cones!Never gotten sick from cross contamination. Plus lots of yummy normal food here too.
