Surprisingly better than expected! I would say the food is most similar to Greek/Mediterranean foods. I ordered the mint tea, and a chicken kabob. I would highly recommend!! The tea was very flavorful, and tasted like it was made of actual mint leaves and not artificial. The kabob was very good, and came with veggies, couscous, and a salad. I'm not sure what kind of dressing they put on the salad, but need to find out, it was so delicious!! I will definatley return.

They are very nice here but did not have wine or beer which would have been nice as it was our date night. The food was super rich but this was my first time having Moroccan. Not for me. The staff was very courteous and helped us select some things. The ambience needs to be warmed up. I always envision Moroccan culture as warm and colorful. The strip mall environment was chilly in temperature and the windows would look so good if they just added some draped curtains. Red would be amazing. Also add some votives as the pictures make it look like a place to sink into. The more traditional seating area is near but quite small. Food was well done, it’s just not my thing.

My girlfriend and I do not eat out much but when we do we like to get ethnic cuisine. I had read about Marrakesh in the Daily Gazette so we figured we would give it a try.
The evening we visited it was not busy so we had our choice of seats (and they do offer traditional seating on cushions on the floor). You can see that a lot of care and thought went into the layout and menu. Yes, it is in a strip mall location but besides that a lot of thought went in to this restaurant in attempting to bring the taste and feel of Morocco to the Capital Region. (After I visited I was speaking with a coworker and she informed me it was her husband who had started the restaurant. They are both from Morocco so they have a great understanding and love of the food and culture)
The waitress was quite attentive and we got our food quickly.
The food is traditional and well prepared. Both of our main courses were excellent. Dessert with traditional Moroccan coffee was a fine ending to an excellent evening.
Definitely not your usual fare for Clifton Park but well worth it if you want to eat Moroccan food prepared and served well.

Food and decor are delightful. The head chef (owner also perhaps?) was super attentive and chatted with us a bit about the recipes and history. Was really cool. Lots of tasty vegan options and carnivore plates as well. Not much for dessert but they said menu expanding soon. Really enjoyable night out. Even my 9 year old loves it.

The service was excellent. He walked us through the menu, gave us his suggestions, and answered our questions. He seemed genuinely excited to share the cuisine and the experience with us. The food was unique and delicious. We will definitely be returning.
