I was a little disappointed after reading great reviews of this place...probably shouldn't go while they have a wedding going on... limited seating where it was quieter but not as nice as the rest of the place. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Service was good but they didn't have coffee to go with dessert... otherwise very cool ambiance and unique place
The food was fantastic! Very fresh and flavorful, and plenty of it. The service was great too. The servers were very attentive to our needs, and non-obstrusive. It was a wonderful dining experience. Will definitely return and recommend to others.
The food at Longfellows is expensive. There's no sugar coating it. You should not show up if you are on a budget. But if you do, your taste buds will be rewarded. Longfellows is a restaurant that is professionally run, clean and worth your time. Everytime I eat there, I feel welcome and leave satisfied. They serve "American" cuisine ranging from seafood and burgers to cheese cake and apple crisp. If you are in the fence about going to Longfellows, don't worry, they'll take care of you and your hunger.
My son and his wife just got married there. Very nice venue, cool fish pond and bridge. Interesting building architecture with the interior divided into multiple levels! Food and wait staff were very good.
The websites description of this restaurant, "Old-fashioned hotel restaurant featuring hearty American cooking, wood accents & a brick fireplace," is spot on but I would definitely add the word COZY. We love the beautiful dark wood, friendly staff, and relaxing atmosphere. Our wine, salads, entrees, coffee and dessert were delicious. We wished the time hadn't passed so quickly.
