Pennell's Restaurant

Never fails to deliver the best...also ran into some old Saratoga friends.

Went for Father's Day. We have been to Pennells 100 times before and love the food. It was busy but we hit the tail end of the rush. No one came to the table to take our order for 15 minutes. Never asked for a drink order when the order was taken. No one brought bread to the table until after the apps were served and the server commented that it was the job of the busser. Had to ask for water refills, asked for more bread. Took 15 minutes to get bread meanwhile the busser didnt clear anything from the table and talked to the hostess for a long time. No water refill again. Food arrived really undercooked. Ordered medium rare and both of our steaks were mooing. The served was extremely apologetic and offered us free desert. We got it and the key lime pie was frozen! We will go back but hope things improve by track season!

Great food and very accommodating. Came on busy night as a walk in and they took us right in and seated us for a great four course meal. Will definitely visit again!! ????????

Food was good, and helpings were enormous. You could easily get at least two meals out of their pasta entrees. The restaurant itself is loud. a large party was seated near us, and they were very accommodating and allowed us to move to another table so we could hear. However, even at that table, the noise sometimes made it hard for us to carry on a conversation. Hard to believe this was our first visit here after living in Saratoga Springs for 9 years!

We got a reservation on a holiday weekend, which went pretty well. It was crowded (unsurprising) but it was quieter outside and they do a good job with the plants to hide the parking lot and road. The food was pretty good, the bread was delicious. I got effectively spaghetti and meatballs (it had been a long day and I wanted something simple). I wasn't expecting much, but the sauce was actually quite good and I was pretty happy with it.
