The Local - Pub & Teahouse

We have family near to Saratoga Springs & often eat at the Local when we're over there. Two things that I've noticed every time we've gone: 1) They take your drink order right away, & then your food takes forever. (Hoping you'll drink more while waiting??) Even when it's not busy, the food seems to take a long time. 2) It is extremely noisy--sometimes hurt-your-ears noisy. Otherwise, the Grilled Chicken on flat bread sandwich is delicious! They have a pretty substantial menu & rotating Craft Beers on tap. They also have a child's portion menu. They have outdoor seating for warm weather. (Some people might not like the little things that occasionally fall from the trees, but that doesn't bother me.) It is waaay quieter! The rest of our family loves it there. As for friendliness of waiters, we've never had an unfriendly waiter.

Pretty great pub food, but the best part is their extensive breakfast selection. We went on a Sunday and the servers seemed to be stretched a little thin, which is the only reason they didn't warrant 5 stars. Slow service, but in the end it was very well worth the wait. Hope to visit again, would recommend to families and others as it was an overall pleasant experience!

Brunch here was great! Our party of 7 was seated quickly in the little patio out back, and I was a little worried we were going to be forgotten, but service was amazing and prompt. The food was good, and the coffees and teas were really great too.

I come here more than I’d care to admit. They have great drink selection and even better food selection. I love the sandwiches. The Irish Cuban is amazing and for the vegetarians the Tempeh Reuben is to die for

Good food but service takes a long time. Been there 3 or 4 times and each time waited 10 minutes or more for the server to start us off with drinks. I come back for the food but the service responsiveness could improve.

(Feb 2019) Seeing some improvements in time lately so i bumped it up to 5 starts. Had a very polite waitress last night. But past 2 times coffee was way too strong.
