Jumpin Jacks has been a staple in Schenectady county seemingly forever. Soft orange pineapple ice cream is the best in the world. My wife and I walk for 45 minutes just to get there and have a cone. That gives us the energy to walk back home. Of course the Jack Burger and their seafood is incredible as well. It's just a shame they're not open all year round.
Good grill food for burgers, fish fries, chicken fingers and soft serve ice cream, with a nice view of the Mohawk River and occasional performances by a water ski team. The line is sometimes long during peak lunch hour, but that reflects the good, fast food service. The atmosphere is fun as you order and have that "translated" to "Jumpin Jack's speak". If in the Schenectady or Soctia area, skip the chain restaurants and come here. Even a small gratuity paid at the register garners a special response from the staff. Definitely good eats.
Really look forward to this time of year to come around to visit this FAMOUS PLACE. I am older now but still like going there to get some of there Famous Cheeseburgers, Onion Rings. Also some of there great Soft Ice Cream. Love it when you order the way they way they Talk out loud like Onion Rings are Indians, French Fries are Spuds etc. You all must try this place to see what I mean. When you pay and leave a tip for them it's SUBWAY. TRY IT YOU WILL LOVE IT.
