Wagner Vineyards Estate Winery

Average level wines. Tasting room was warm on a hot day. The 2017 semi-dry Riesling was good. 2017 Chardonnay Reserve - Good. 2016 Merlot was Acceptable. And their 2012 Meritage was Good. We visited at the peak of their day and the server was rushed but didn’t greet us for several minutes at the bar.

Our experience made this a better stop for beer than wine. We haven’t had much luck finding great IPA’s in this area, but their Brut, Hop Tropic, and Cross Section were all awesome. There’s a huge covered deck out back to sit and enjoy. The bartenders were knowledgeable and funny. The wine was not the same experience. The young lady hosting our tasting was 18 and while she had likely tasted them, she wasn’t allowed to express that she’d done so and also didn’t know much about the wines. That’s not her fault as she’s only 18. Maybe it was the wine, maybe it was the experience, but nothing stood out to us in the reds or whites. However, if you’re looking for a great brewery, this is an awesome stop!

We had a group of 20+ people enjoy a wine/beer tasting at Wagner. They were great hosts and our entire group had a great time! We highly recommend for group tastings!!

We were skeptical when we arrived and walked into a giant gift shop, but ouo server for the tasting, as well as the wine, made it worth the stop. A wide variety of wine to choose from many of which were delightful. The brewery was pretty good, too. A solid two thumbs up.

Always a great place to visit as they have both winery and brewery on site as well as q cafe for snagging a quick bite to eat while you and your party are on your Seneca Lake Tour experience!!! They still need some work on their overflow/large conveyance vehicle lot. Nasty drop off from Wagner Road make for some running board scrapes unless you are moving 1 MPH or less!!! Time to level out the gravel or buck up and pave it!!!
