Dillio's Cafe

My girlfriend and I had spent a couple of days in the Finger Lakes and had come to the realization that there may be nobody willing to look past our outward appearance when it came to giving us good service. Whether it was high end restaurateurs or mom and pop shops selling knick-knacks.

We went to bed the night before we left the Finger Lakes hoping for a good experience the rest of the way. Perhaps this environment wasn't for us and we'd find a way to way make the best of it.

We rolled out of Hammondsport with every intention of finding a small cafe to have breakfast. Upon arriving in Prattsburgh, I parked the car and we walked toward Dillio's, a cafe so small if you blink you'll miss it... and that would be a shame.

We walked through the door and Lydia welcomed us, told us not to be shy and come in and sit down. We were only going to order some food to go and eat in the park across the street, but part of me wishes we would've spent more time with Lydia as she was EXACTLY the type of person we would've been happy to hang out with.

She was friendly, funny, and beyond all else... REAL. In an area where so many are quick to judge and as fake as the teeth in their mouth... we found reality here in Prattsburgh.

The food was delicious. Perfectly crisp bacon on a warm fluffy fried egg inside a delicious everything bagel... and the most decadent home fries I've had in a very very long time.

Along with that, we found a beautiful jewel-encrusted hand-made arm band that we purchased as well that my girlfriend absolutely loves.

Lydia, thank you. You were an absolute delight and brightened our trip. Everything got so much better for us after seeing you and we thank you for being kind and real with us. Much love, much success and continued health. We will see you again someday.

Nice little spot with big tude

1st time in the area today and we stopped and had an EXCELLENT breakfast and price was good and service was great! Very friendly and made you feel welcome. Will stop again when in the area.!!

Great Food! Great Fun! We love going to Dillios after Hunting, the Breakfast and Lunch is Good Down Home Cookin! Always Enjoy good Conversation with The Owner& Staff, if ya Haven't Tried it Give it a Try you will be Glad you Did!
