Absolutely Mario

Nothing shy of excellent. The veal chop special was amazing. The softest piece of veal I've ever had. Service is impeccable, food was amazing I'll drive back from Queens often for the food.

Went there last night with the family. My 10 year old son is a picky eater and did not really like anything on the menu. He asked for pizza which was not on the Menu. So settled for spaghetti and meatballs. Later to our surprise Mario sent one of his workers to the supermarket and surprised him with a personal pepperoni pizza. What a great host top notch service. Then my daughter 8, did not like the way her chicken fingers were cooked. So he had the kitchen remake them. We were little embarresed by all of this but Mario was cool with all the fuss. If u have a picky eater just call Mario a day earlier or couple hours before you arrive and he will make sure your child has what they like.

CHRISTMAS EVE. THE OWNER SEEMS TO KNOW EVERYONE. HES GOT A LITTLE SIGN AS A JOKE NO MATTER WHAT YOU ASK IT SAYS "FABULOUS" THE DRINKS WERE GOOD YOU COLD TASTE THE ALCOHOL.. FROM APPS TO DESSERT THIS FOOD WAS "FABULOUS" THEY GOT IT RIGHT .
THE BILL WAS ABOUT $85.00 DOLLARS A HEAD. THATS BILL AND TIP.

I usually don’t rate restaurants if they didn’t live up to the hype. Anyway, place is nice. People are very welcoming. The reason I am giving two stars less:
1. As soon as I walked in, felt some moldy smell. Wasn’t the right feeling when you are entering the food place. I would feel more comfortable with natural or neutral smell. No fancy perfume smell or anything that makes it feel like you are trying to hide something
2. Food, the most important part of the whole experience. Was mediocre. I am sorry, but the truth is it wasn’t true Italian. It seemed like amateurish. I have seen other restaurants in the area, which have best taste. Food quantity was large portion, but I would trade that for much smaller portion with good flavor/taste. At the same time it has to be not too fatty.

I know some of you may not like my view, but that is what I felt.
