I do not drink coffee or buy donuts so I do not know the extent others are upset about. One great thing is that some of the employees are very friendly and that’s hard to come by”

“This was my first visit after many years. The decor is brighter and more modern than the original dark wood and antique-looking furnishings of the old days, so it's not quite as cozy. The food was OK, nothing wrong with it but the portion sizes are not worth the prices you pay. The waitresses were nice, but after taking our order, everyone disappeared and we had to try and flag someone down to ask for things. Also, the place itself is hard to find because it's tucked out of the way in a residential area with no signs to show the way. I actually went there because I had a gift card, but sad to say, I don't think I would have gone there otherwise.”

“Food is terrific! Never had a bad meal from here, whether it's takeout or dining in. Nice friendly service. The interior is somewhat small, but cozy. Looks like they can accommodate up to 16 people (5 tables). Their Thai iced tea or bubble tea is a must have. And for dessert I'd recommend either the fried banana (looks like like a spring roll) drizzled with honey, or the sweet sticky rice with coconut custard. Mmm-mmmm!!!”

Emily was very helpful in helping me plan the evening and ensuring everything went smooth the night of. Chef Juan did not disappoint with his delicious food. I would definitely recommend El Matador whether for a private party or just a night out for food and drinks.”
