Old Fields Restaurant Port Jefferson

We always have great time at Old Fields! Service and food are wonderful. Great brown liquor list also.

Ordered some oysters, spinach and artichoke dip, short rib risotto, and a burger. The short rib meat was cooked so perfectly it just fell apart! Everything was really nice. My only suggestion is that the sauce for the spinach and artichoke was a little thin so it made it hard to get it on the pita but other than that it was a near perfect meal!

We are from LA and are visiting family. We had a wonderful and fun meal here.

First, the space was warm and welcoming.

Second, the food, drinks and energy were all in place along with attentive service from the staff and Dave, the owner.

All courses were prepared as requested, hot from the Kitchen with excellent service!

In sum, worth a trip to enjoy the environment, food and service.

This was my first time going to this establishment, and it was the first of many. Firstly, the atmosphere was lovely, and was very beautiful on the inside and out aesthetically. There is also plenty of room for seating and there was no wait. Secondly, the wait staff was very friendly and easy to talk to. I went with a party of 4. I got the shrimp and grits, and it was one of the most delicious meals I have every had. What truly made the meal was the sauce that really tied the whole dish together. And the sauce didn't overpower any of the other flavors. You can tell that the chef takes the time to let the flavors develop. I was not able to get dessert this time, but can't wait to come back another time and try it. If you're in the area, Old Fields in Port Jefferson should be on the top of your list!
