Port Bistro and Pub

Came in for lunch and it was absolutely empty which should've been a warning sign. The sampler app was pretty flavorless. Only the potato croquettes were decent. My reuben came out ok. My friend's meatball hero wasn't to good. He took one bite and that was it. The only good thing was nice staff, good drinks, and nice decor

I really like this place. The menu is caried and had selections for vegetarians. The drinks were fabulous. The staff and bartender were really responsive. Nice atmosphere, right in DT Port Jeff. Definitely would recommend. Pricing was good in our opinion.

Wednesday nights at Port Bistro and Pub are half-price wines and karaoke. The food is amazing. I had the eggplant parmesan. I was going to take some of it home, but it was so tasty that I ate all of it. I also ordered the cinnamon churros with pumpkin ice cream. My friend tasted it and said, that alone makes life worth living! I do have two (tiny) negatives, one being the parking. Luckily, I arrived just in time to get the last parking space in front of the building. The other is that you absolutely can not see the Bistro from the main road. I was fortunate to ask a resident where it was, and she told me it was behind Starbucks. If you are using GPS, you should probably type in the address of the Starbucks, or you will end up at a far away parking lot.

Finally a refreshing change of pace in Port Jeff! We just had a nice visit, with food off of the “grand opening” menu. I got the chicken sandwich grilled with extra avocado and my husband got the braised short rib. My chicken was grilled to perfection and the potato salad it came with was AMAZING. The braised short rib fell to pieces and was juicy! I don’t eat meat so I can’t speak for the taste, but the hubby said it was excellent. The atmosphere is def different than the old brewology that used to be here, and it is SO much cleaner. The new owners did a great job cleaning this place up and giving it a nice face lift. Also, if your a drinker there mixed drinks are different.... I tried the Dark & Stormy... I was pleasantly surprised! I’m apprehensive about trying new things but it was really tasty!!! Def give them a try, we will be back for sure! Glad to see something fresh in our village! Go and see Carmine! Def seems like he likes his job, he’s all smiles and super attentive even with how busy it was!!
