Caffe Amici

Was looking forward to dinner at Caffe Amici so I booked a reservation. Arrived on time and had to wait a few minutes for a table even though I saw empty tables. Once we were seated we were waited on in a timely manner. We ordered and the food came out in a timely manner. The portions were generous but I was disappointed with the meals because both main courses were warm to say best. I had chicken with sausage, potatoes, peppers and artichoke hearts. Something on the plate was hot but all the vegetables were warm. The kitchen needed to leave the contents in the frying pan much longer so the food would be hot when served. My wife complained about the same problem with her shrimp dish. Quantity, quality, service were satisfactory but the preparation was mediocre, thus the three rating on the review.

I love the great service! I think the waiter was Jeremiah. Not sure about that. The Tuesday night Pasta deal was amazing. Lots of great food delicious. Thank you

Great place to spend Christmas Eve! Food and service was excellent. Even though it was a busy holiday, you had the option of a full menu - everything was delicious! Reservations are recommended for the holidays.

The best Italian food on Long Island! Generous portions and wonderful customer service and staff. One of the most comfortable places on Long Island. Nothing short of perfection!

Love their pizza and even had a news eve meal here which was delicious and plentiful. It has probably been 1 year since I tried one of their specials which contained veal, chicken cutlet, meatball and sausage. I distinctly remember it all being really flavorful and cooked to perfection. This time, maybe a week ago, Oct 2018, I was somewhat disappointed. I actually ordered double chicken, not a veal fan, meatball, sausage and somewhat disappointed. The meatball was the best part and the chicken was a little flat and overcooked. The sausage was nothing like I remembered. Not saying I won't order it again, just had such a great experience the first time. The waiter, Dan, was excellent - just the right amount of humor, recited all of the specials with enthusiasm. The garlic bread was on point. We'll be back!
