Hero Haven Pizza & more

Idk why they only have 3.9 stars but it’s not cuz of the restaurant, it’s because of the rude customers around here. Never, ever had a problem in here in over 10 years I’ve been going here and the past 2 years I’ve been really going here a lot more. Food is good for the price. When I first moved to Mastic/Shirley I use to get the $5 hero’s on Wednesday ever single Wednesday for like 6 months.

Only because it wasn't great did I give it 4 stars. I had the New Orleans hero and it was spicy and I can tolerate spice. I'm not from the area and I was a little skeptical trying a neighborhood place, but I wasn't let down. The food that was cooking in the background smelled pretty appetizing. Since I'll be working for the next few weeks there, I'll be back to try some other items off the menu.

Good pizza, and great hero's. Wednesday is customer appreciation day. All hero's are $4.99. They're so busy on Wednesdays that it takes a while to get the food, but it's definitely worth the wait. They even have a dollar menu and a hot steam table with meal specials and hot soups. They are there for 13 years, so someone is doing something right. Fresh bagels are coming there soon too.

I have only amazing things to say about Hero Haven. The new breakfast menu will tempt you taste buds. They also have a steam table full of hot delicious food daily. I go every Wednesday for five dollar hero all day and night. Mondays and Tuesday 6.99 large pie. Holy cow..come and get it while it lasts .
