This is my number one Chinese dining and take out location. It's closer than driving to Queens, and a bit pricier, but all too worth it for their dumplings, charcoal buns and beef chow fun. Also, best Cantonese style cooking! Love the fried rice and corn chowder!
For chinese food on Long Island this place is my favorite!!! This goes in terms of food taste wise. The decor and ambience is very boring. The food was magnificent!!! Authentic and flavor was great. Service was okay. Definitely coming back!!
Phenomenal little spot, with a mix of two top tables and what looked like larger communal style tables. The kitchen is open and you can hear everything happening, yet it's not too loud. The food absolutely exceeded my expectations on every level. Dumplings, appetizers, and entrees were all delicious. I honestly can't wait to go back!!!
First try. Staff and service we're great. Restaurant is small, maybe a dozen deuces and 3-4 larger tables for 3-8.
The menu is half dumplings and bao and half traditional Chinese. We only had the former.
Dumplings were really good. We often go to Flushing for this, and while they didn't have the selection, what they did have was on par. Certainly easier than going to Flushing.
We're definitely going to be back. Soup dumplings are calling!
First time eating here, off-peak time. I had the soup dumplings, they were very good. I also had the pancake wrapped around beef, also quite good.
Why 3/5 stars? If you EVER eat in Flushing, Queens, soup dumplings will taste just as good, (really even better), but they are TWICE as large, for the same price. The pancake beef thing was also tiny. I'm sorry, but $16- for two super-small entrees is steep. Like I said though, the food was good, it was hot, & fresh, the service a bit dry, but quick, so, that's fine. Packaging taped to your table, signs that read, "Leave cash tip on credit card orders" It seems if you protest it, you can leave the tip on your CC, as I watched a young couple argue this point, politely, although I left a cash one myself. Would I go back? Hard to say, to be straight.
