The food is always fresh and delicious. The pastrami it's not greasy yet totally flavorful. Corned beef is slice paper thin, moist and delicious. Pickles are outstanding. And the bread pudding is probably the best around. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, like neighbors we used to sit out with on the stoop. The music is nothing but Oldies from the '50s and early-'60s. It doesn't get better than this!

Good old-fashioned type Deli. More food than you can imagine. I had delicious onion and mushrooms Burger just a tad over cooked. Pretty and friendly waitress very courteous. Great Cole slaw and pickles served before meal. Thought I was back in the 'hood. Recommended.

I thought the pastrami at Sarge's Deli on 3rd in Manhattan was good. But not as good as this 40-year-old kosher deli in Commack. The rye bread held together well, the hot, thinly sliced pastrami... freshly made. The rye bread did not fall apart like at other delis. My cup of split pea soup was deeply satisfying, fully flavored; you don't see this on menus. My husband's chicken in a pot soup w/Matzoh Ball was a fully loaded chicken noodle soup, served piping hot & full of flavor that comes from days of simmering. We also enjoyed the potato pancakes with applesauce. Potato pancakes looked like fried bone-in chicken breasts. And the applesauce was homemade as well, not sickeningly sweet, but light & addictive. Definitely will come back. Not cheap but a nice customer behind me gave us a few coupons.

For a LI Kosher deli it is great matzo ball soup excellent and the brisket on a club roll is mouth watering not dry but gravy on the side made it perfect. Knishes baked and fried were both good as was the mustard. Finally the certificate slaw and pickles as well as the Dr. Brown's cream soda Rochelle the waitress was always checking to see if we needed anything else.
