“I wanted to edit this review to reflect that I moved to the area a little over a year ago. Shortly after our move, we visited Brendels for the first time and the bagels and breakfast sandwiches blew us away - they are now a weekend staple for my house. I love their coffee crumb coffee and they make very best BLTs. We love the establishment and the staff are so sweet. So grateful to have found them!”

“HIGHLY RECOMMEND! If you’re thinking about going just go! I absolutely adore this place. As I was choosing from their wide selection I heard and saw how the staff interacted with the regulars, creating a homey and welcoming environment. They were so kind and I felt more like a friend than a customer. There’s great areas for both introverts to hide away and extroverts to be open and have conversations. The desserts are absolutely amazing and so yummy, I peeked in the back and saw the mixers and varieties of ingredients to make the desserts in-house. The best part is that it didn’t break the bank to get some really good coffee and desserts. Being here made me happy and more connected to the community, shop small businesses and come here!”

“BEST PIZZA ever!. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The pizza was so good I got goosebumps.... The metro pizza is amazing and all the crusts were delicious. We sampled Grandma, metro, and creamed spinach slices. The crashed spinach tasted like Alfredo and was addicting. The sauces on the pizza are tangy and rich and the cheese is high quality and not rubbery. Go get some!”

“I’ve been here twice since they opened over a week ago. The first visit (opening day) was great - everything was perfect! but our second visit was not so great. We did the fixed price all you can eat both times and the second time we returned, had a completely different experience. It seemed as if we were getting skipped for all cuts of meat that were coming out and at one point, waited nearly 20 minutes for someone to come by our table. Yes, we sat there with an empty plate staring around waiting for someone to come and this happened several times throughout the meal. I don’t mind waiting and can understand things get busy but we’ve been to plenty of other similar steakhouses and this service was drastically different. We also received the same cut 3-4 times in a row which was a bit frustrating since we wanted to have the same variety as our prior visit. Did we eventually eat all that we wanted? Yes and it was delicious, but it took a lot of waiting around and more or less ruined the experience for us. Overall, the staff was super friendly, the food was great, decor is on point, but the pacing and service of the meat was completely off. We will not be returning for the rodizio and will stick to a traditional steakhouse going forward.”

“This place just oozes excellence. The rolled ice cream is a real treat both to watch being made and eating it is an experience. The bakery items are delicious and very rich. The smoothies are very sweet, a little too much for my taste, but full of fruit so nice. I have yet to try the crepes, coffee, and got drinks, so once I have I shall add that to the review. Seating is easily filled on weekend nights, not a big deal in the warmer months as you can sit outside no problem but when its winter outdoor seating is not for me. Winter time this place is a prime spot though with direct access to the Huntington tree.”

“What a fabulous find! I have been waiting for a store like this to buy our vegan goods on Long Island. The artisanal cheeses are amazing, we no longer have to go to Brooklyn to get our cheese. John (the owner) is so helpful and open to suggestions. He keeps the store meticulously clean. He is now our go to for hard to find Vegan items. “Nothing short of a phenomenal experience. I am familiar with the location in Greenport, so when I heard one was coming closer to home, I was very excited. The food was excellent. From the chips and dip starter to the tacos, everything was made with the upmost quality. The service was great, as the staff was very welcoming, helpful, and on top of everything. I would recommend this place to anyone. Make sure you come try the new Lucharitos in Melville. You won’t be disappointed.”
