J&R's Islip Steak House

First time visit, parking available when we arrived around 5:45PM. Offered bar area seating, we declined and when escorted to table in main dining area table was for two small and up against the wall. With no other table available for two dinners we decided to go to bar area for their pub style seating.
We were quickly greeted by waitress who was very attentive. The food was terrific with generous portions except for the sweet potato fried, overall a very good dining experience

I was pleasantly surprised by the staff at J and R’s in Islip. My family and i was greeted by a beautiful young hostess that seated us promptly this was Saturday night at 6 pm. She was very gracious. We had an amazing waiter Billy while took our drink order two sodas a beer and he made my mom a raspberry ice tea, and a water and water for all. We had appetizers boneless buffalo chicken and ribs/ salads soups . Then steaks/ lobster/ shrimp and huge steak for my dad like 24 oz. we were all so full. Then the whole staff came out and sung Happy Birthday to my dad he and my mom was so Happy. The employees were so kind thank you Jess/ Billy and all. You made our day so special! Thanks!

Great deals for kids eat for free. Soups are delicious and the cheesecake. The waiter was quick with taking over orders and drinks. I expected good season ribs and chicken combo but they added so much bbq sauce, super salty. I won't be going back.

Went to lunch with my son at J&R"s today... they were a little busier than usual due to the holiday. The service was still outstanding. You will have a hard time finding a better lunch deal. I had a salad, steak, beer and cheesecake for approx $20.00... delicious!
