Oconee East

Lots of decorations for the many holidays hang over you. Put you in mood. Food is great. Service is great - very gracious & polite. Place (considering the amount of people they deal with) is immaculate. Kudos to the owner & staff

This place alone can put Islip on the map as a must stop destination. For one, this is a big diner. Second, the owner goes all out in decoration, hospitality and food preparations. Being the end of February, the place is decked out in green lights, shamrocks and flags of Ireland. Multiple televisions entertain both young and old. The diner has a great menu and our food choices...a Pastrami Reuben topped with grilled onions and a delectable burger with onion rings, pickle, coleslaw, all were very, very yummy. But, we had zero room for dessert and before we had a chance to decline, the waiter gave us 4 generous sized chocolate cookies. So we smiled and left grateful to know there still exists a place like the Oconee East Diner. Clearly a family feel where they keep bringing put food to make you feel special, the manager/owner? stops by to see if you had enough, enjoyed your meal and gives you free cookies. Birthday celebrants were joyfully serenaded. I can't wait to see what Easter will look like. I imagine bunnies abounding among pastel lights and maybe even chocolate bunnies to temp you even more. We will be back before then I'm sure.

This is a children hood hang out place for me. I couldn't wait to take my own kids there. They loved all the decorations and the staff is always friendly. The food is good as well. French onion soup is my go to here. My kids love the chicken fingers

People there are very friendly and they have quick service. Great place for kids. Handicapped bathroom. Very fun toy machine ????????????????????????????????????????️

The only diner that exists for me! Fantastic food and wait staff. The deco is one of a kind. The holidays explode with decorations! If anything, the atmosphere is breath taking! A MUST experience!!????????
