J & R’s Steakhouse

Great food but I wasn't pleased on how the hostess was talking to me and other people at that. She was an older woman with blonde hair and she was almost encouraging people to go eat somewhere else because it was busy. I wouldn't want her greeting people if I owned a restaurant . Service was ok but definitely wasn't attentive enough. I understand it was busy but that is when you see who can handle it or not. Definitely would've failed John Taverns stress test.

It's amazing just how big of a difference there is between this one and the Rocky Point location. Spend the extra 15 minutes, drive East and head to this one. Skip Rocky Point at all costs. The food, drinks, service and atmosphere are leaps and bounds above the RP location.

The steaks are amazing juicy and everything. Service was friendly and quick which was surprising! Portion sizes were big and relative to the price. Local and fitting atmosphere! Definitely recommend.

This place is just awesome. It's friendly, welcoming and wildly delicious. The staff is kind, prompt and knowledgeable about what they serve. If you have to wait for a table, wait, it's totally worth it. The servings are huge and well priced. The prime rib was heaven. The coconut shrimp, decadent. They separate the bar from the restaurant so it's not obtrusive at all, still family friendly without being generic. The interior is really visually charming and very clean. The owners obviously love their business and it shows. 10 out of 10. Enjoy!

Came in on a Saturday night and was able to get seated right away in front of the fireplace. Bread arrived quickly along with our waters. Took our orders right away our drinks took a while that we had to tell a passing waitress to check on them for us. Food came out hot. Steaks were cooked to perfection as I like medium and my girlfriend likes her medium well. The baked potato seemed like it wasn't cooked all the way and didn't get enough butter for it. Overall I would give J&R another chance. Food and drinks were both priced just right. Alot of bang for your buck here.
