Andersen's Smokehouse & Grill in Smithtown

First time trying this place and service was fast and food was good.

Went there for the first time after Dixie’s had closed. Food was good but the new location is not as customer friendly as Dixie’s was. You have to order your food at the counter, pay and leave a tip (even though you hadn’t had a chance to evaluate the service). You are given a number and then they bring the food out to you. I personally liked having the normal wait service they have at Dixie’s. Also, the set up for seating is a bit uncomfortable. I was on bench that kept moving. The worst thing about my experience was that even though the service I did get was attentive, it was attentive to the point of feeling rushed. I was asked if I wanted a box for my food and I was only half finished. I’m sure that once they get the kinks out, it it will be a great place because the food is good. It appears to be more of a takeout place than Dixie’s was. I’ll be back but I may take out next time because I don’t want to feel rushed.
