This restaurant has been around for a LONG time. I had not been there in quite some time, but recently returned with a group (7 People). The BYOB ability was a plus with the group we were with. Everyone opted for the 5-course Tasting Menu. Round one was basic Seafood Bisque, nothing shocking. Couldn't help but notice the 'fresh herb' garnish was dried u and brown in spots. Round two was very good, Escargots in a volevaunt style pastry cup, all were tender and cooked well. Round three was a mediocre crab cake. In addition to the 5-course, I personally was in the mood for Foie Gras, so I got an additional appetizer. This was after being told the supplemental charge For Foie Gras would be $10.00 (Crab cake $15 vs $19 Foie Gras). MASSIVELY disappointing. Three tiny, tip-of-my-thumb scrap pieces, veins and all on an overpowering bed of beets and cabbage. Three courses in, looking forward to scallops. I should have checked my expectations at this point. TWO scallops, both optimistically the size of a quarter. Not happy at all. Thank God the souffles there are good. But once 7-ppl had finished dessert, we sat, unchecked, no check dropped for an hour. The Babysitter was as miffed as I was about that last bit. Maybe they were off their game, but I don't really do 2nd chances anymore at restaurants. Money is hard enough to make these days. There are better ways to spend $150.00.
Have been going there for 20 years and love it. Excellent french morocan cuisine, well prepared and presented by a continuous wait staff. Pricing as expected. I highly recommend.
Ventilation was not working ....so hard to enjoy....came out smelling like a french fried....
A unique and wonderful ambience and friendly staff added to this culinary experience that was very positive. My wife and I enjoyed the special recommendations and we had a wonderful time. While the cuisine is definitely French, the presentation is very professional and not stuffy it all.
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Went there after doing a search for romantic place near me on Google. We decided to have the chefs 5 course prefix menu. 2 choices for each course, so we each split everything. The waiter was totally knowledgeable of everything on the menu. Every question answered in detail. Don't expect to go home with a doggie bag. He said portions were small, but there are 5 of them and we were FULL. Small place, maybe 12 tables. A+.
