We came for restaurant week and it was really very good! Aside from the meatballs (weird texture!), we loved everything! The chicken parm a la vodka was beyond amazing (so tender!), and the shrimp scampi was great as well. Their red sauce is delicious - the best I’ve had in awhile. Excellent service from manager to server, and nice ambiance for dinner. Will definitely be returning soon!
I figured I would give it a shot, the initial service was bad, the hostess didn't help us when we walked in for 10 min until someone else came by and asked if anyone was helping us. Then we sat, with Menus ....for 15 min with no waiter, no drinks and no bread. When said I was leaving, my wife went to the desk and asked for a waiter and finally someone came over. John the waiter was great, the food not so good. Plus the Bar seemed over whelmed (supposedly someone called out, but that's not my problem is it?) and it took some time to get a mixed drink, another negative. Linguine with White clams, had 5 whole clams and what appeared to be a full can of chopped clams on top. Sorry PH, you can easily tell canned from fresh. I left half of it. My wife had had linguine with just marinara, she said that was good. Lastly , why call yourself the Pasta house when all you have are about a dozen regular run of the mill pasta dishes. Nothing exotic, rare or anything really special or new or with any thought. PH Should be called just Smithtown's restaurant , because Pasta is clearly NOT the focus here. Plus fairly pricey.
Very beautiful restaurant and everyone of the employees was smiling and super nice and friendly to me and my 5 year old son.
The sauce was one of the best I've ever had and you can tell the pasta was fresh. Yes it's a bit pricey but the portions are huge and it was worth every penny.
We loved it and will be returning in the near future.
Took my wife there tonight for her birthday dinner! We were greeted upon entering, sat and attended to quickly with a carafe of water, bread and oil (add grated cheese and butter to enhance your dipping experience)!
There was a nearby table that was bit noisy with young kids and the manager came up on her own to ask if we wanted to move (knowing it was my wife’s birthday) and we were seated in a more quiet and private area.
Our waitress was pleasant and prompt.
The food; me, “The Pink Sauce” add mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes, her, rigatoni bolognese, were both fantastic along with the crispy, golden fried calamari (with tentacles!).
Will be back again!
The Smithtown Pasta House transported my wife and I to Italy. The food was so authentic and delicious. I am also vegan and they even have a vegan dish and can easily modify most other dishes. Our waiter Lou was so friendly and attentive which made us enjoy our experience. Christie (Manager) was so friendly, came over to our table, introduced herself to us and asked us how everything was going which was so nice. The ambiance of the dining room was exquisite. I will be coming back !!!!! Did we say the food was OUTRAGEOUS!! My wife had the truffle mac and cheese and the linguini bolognese and I had beet salad, roasted artichokes, and pasta alla mama wow wow soooo good!!!!!
Additional review….we loved Smithtown Pasta House so much we ordered take out. The staff meticulously timed the appetizers and entrees to be cooked so they were piping hot when we picked up the food. My guests were so impressed. They demolished their food said it was one of the best Italian places on long island.
Christie took my order and I informed her that I would pick up the food at a specific time and sure enough my order was completed at the precise time I said!!!
My food was hot out of the oven, each appetizer and entree was wrapped in plastic wrap to keep it hot, but most important the food was delicious. The portions were exactly the generous portions they gave us when we dined in the restaurant!!!
Thank You Smithtown Pasta House for feeding my guests well.
This place is incredible!!!
A class of their own.
We will be back.
