We took the ferry over to Greenport and stumbled upon Basso's and have gone back every year!! We love the atmosphere, food and wine. Can't wait to taste the Finocchiona that is shaved paper thin and melts in your mouth!!

This place is the real deal. Great service, amazing food and Italian wines. Nick, Paul and Mike are always super hospitable and friendly. All the dishes are set out on the bar: fresh white bean salad, delicious grilled marinated tomatoes, marinated olives - all amazing. The thinnest prosciutto ever and everything seasoned perfectly. It is also right in the heart of the downtown waterfront with a lot of shops if you feel like strolling around. Always a stop here when we are in Greenport .⛵ -

(March 1, 2018, 2:32 am)Amazing food! The ingredients are so fresh. Atmosphere is very cozy and great outdoor seating. Excellent if you want some homemade food and a nice glass of wine .
