I've been waiting for a vegan diner for so long and Angelhearts couldn't be more amazing! Comfort food, high quality vegan meals, and a great selection. AND they have vegan donuts and great locally sourced coffee. Great atmosphere and friendly staff, would highly recommend coming here, whether you are vegan or not! :)

Can't wait to go back! I've never understood how Ithaca doesn't have better vegan options, and this fills a huge hole and does it well! We loved almost everything and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Great new place!!

Just for accuracy - someone below mentioned no bathroom, which just isn't true. ????????‍♀️ There is a bathroom for customer use, just ask at the counter for a key.

What a wonderful place!! It was my first time here and I absolutely loved the food. I ordered the Breakfast Skillet and it had so much flavor and was a hearty meal. The waffle with strawberries was amazing; it was light, fluffy and so delicious with real maple syrup. There should be more diners like this.

I love how it is a family business and the entire family was working.

Awesome, hardworking people that provide a warm, welcoming experience.

Impeccably fresh greens and sprouts came with my beet "burger" salad. The burger, of course, was all vegan and also immensely flavorful. Pleasing in it's darkly red color, it was lightly crunchy on the edges and succulent in the middle. Large curls of toasted coconut graced the top and I ate it all in one sitting, tho I was trying to save some for another time of enjoyment. Just too good.

Coffee--which is bottomless--was from the local roaster Oak & Crow, and broke the law of physics that coffee that is bottomless is coffee that is terrible. Coffee here is flavorful, powerful, equivalent to the on-drip you'd find at a Gimme! Coffee shop. Our expedient server brought us a cup of oat milk to go with it. Perfect.

The blue chairs are playful and fun, the chrome around makes one feel the dreamy times of the 1950s. But unlike an old-grease-infused classic diner where weighty meatloaf comes with salty gravy made by cooks who are over it all, this diner offers vegan brightly-fresh food made by people who really care, food that won't leave you exhausted and heavy feeling afterwards. Prices, naturally, are a little steeper to reflect this, but these people are back there peeling potatoes for the fries from scratch!

Ithaca went through some lean years for vegans after ABC Cafe closed, but Angelhearts Diner has set everything right in the world once again, while raising the bar for quality vegan meals to unprecedented levels. The restaurant itself is simply beautiful. It's super clean with a classic 1950s-style decor, and everything is brand new since they just opened in late 2019. The food is off the charts, and I'd go so far to say that their breakfast offerings outdo anything served in Manhattan. I had the breakfast burrito and a couple biscuits with jam, with a bottomless cup of excellent coffee. Man oh man! Everything was so delicious and the sausage in the breakfast burrito and on the full plate was about the most delicious vegan meat I've ever eaten. My non-vegetarian dining companion was equally impressed by the food.

I was only in town for a day so I made sure to come back for lunch and their house-made veggieburger was one of the best I've ever had. Kim, the lady who opened the place with her son, has an incredible work ethic and really puts her soul into this place. I've eaten at vegan restaurants in almost every state and more than 20 countries, and Angelhearts was one of the best and most memorable dining experiences of my life. If I lived in Ithaca I'd eat breakfast here several times a week.
