The chicken was insanely good. Best I've had in Kingston by far. Can't wait to go back and get some more! As somebody else said, it's not fast food but definitely worth the wait. The atmosphere is warm and friendly so if you go knowing that "real" food takes time you'll enjoy the whole experience.

Stopped in for lunch today and was greeted by a wonderful young lady. We were seated and ordered fried chicken and a chicken sandwich, both with a side of mac n cheese. The food came out hot and fresh. The fried chicken was crispy outside and juicy inside as it should be and absolutely delicious. The mac n cheese was piping hot with lots of cheese. I dont know what kinds were in it but it was also delicious.
The atmosphere was clean and bright with nice background music playing. Service was pleasant and attentive.
Cant wait to go back and try some other dishes. Keep up the good work!

Hands down the best restaurant on the waterfront and the best soul food you’re gonna find in all of Ulster County. Baked Mac and cheese was absolutely perfect, shrimp and grits are an out of this world experience and the sauce they put on the burgers is bomb. Locals need to make sure Ruby Mae becomes a staple here!
