    Easily the best sushi in New Paltz and certainly ranks in the top 5 in the Hudson Valley. Cozy atmosphere, although the decor leaves something to be desired. Usually a wait on Friday and Saturday evenings due to limited seating, but to-go orders are filled pretty quickly. Delicous specialty rolls (Men in Black is a popular favorite) and the wait-staff/ management is very friendly and customer oriented. Only compliant would be that they are frequently out of some of the more unique options like Uni (sea urchin), but I'd rather a sushi place tell me they are out of something than serve week old fish. Overall, I highly recommend.

    Ordered a dish called Sukiyaki, which was a beef stew with noodles. The beef was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Fantastic meal. Would highly recommend Hokkaido.

    We love Hokkaido. The owners are wonderful. They remember us and genuinely care about our family. It's also the best sushi in New Paltz- hands down, no contest! Get a mango salmon roll- our favorite!

    Best sushi in the Hudson valley! Highly recommend the men in black roll! Staff is also so nice and attentive!

    Hands down one of my favorite place to get sushi in the Hudson valley. The owner is always very welcoming and the food is consistently good. Busy place, but that’s because the food is awesome.
