Tokarz Family Diner

Tokarz is a "winner winner Chicken dinner". Don't expect glamour or intimate dining. Do expect friendly service and great food. This is a family diner, with the whole family involved. A recent meal of pork loin was fantastic, moist tender, nicely flavored, with side choices of green beans, mac and cheese, sausage cornbread stuffing, and roasted potatoes. And enough room left over for homemade desserts. Hope they have the chocolate cream pie one night you are there. My husband beat me to the last bite. The crust was brownie-like dark chocolate, just to add another boost to the already chocolicious filling. Their entrees and desserts are all made on site. Our party of 8 took home as many extra sides as we ordered. They even prepared a vegetarian entree when they knew one of our party did not eat meat. They serve dinner on Friday nights starting at 4 PM, perfect for dinner and then a movie at the Ohmann theater. Breakfast is next for me. I know I'm in for a treat.

The staff really aims to please, super-friendly. Fine food, quite reasonable. You owe it to yourself to stop by.

Super nice service. Good home-cooked food, and they try to stay local with their ingredients, which I really appreciate. Very friendly, excellent dinner specials on Friday nights, it's like a family dinner (meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy!). I have had a bunch of breakfasts there: the potatoes are great, cheese omelets excellent - they get their eggs nice and fluffy. Sometimes they have homemade sausage and gravy, can't wait to try. I think they do a good takeout business too.

Warm friendly staff and owners. All food is freshly made. And best of all, prices are extremely reasonable. This is a small place, so make sure you call ahead for reservations. Breakfast is wonderful - daily specials, homemade sausage, great eggs, pancakes, french toast, hashbrowns as you like them, plain, with onions, or peppers, and from fresh potatoes. Dinner every Friday night - roast chicken, roast pork, pasta, homemade sides. Street parking is convenient.
