Incredibly nice guy! Gave us free food! Dough imported from Italy Incredibly delicious will most certainly come agian!
Wonderful! Stumbled upon the diRiso shop this morning and took home a sampling of pastries, lasagna and of course, risotto balls. Everything is delicious and the owners are so lovely. We will definitely be visiting again very soon!
Just had these amazing risotto balls for the second week in a row. Got them at the Tarrytown Farmers Market. They are delicious!
We came to the Grand Bazaar today for Maple Fest and diRiso had an appetizing looking sandwich that we had to try. More on that in a bit. I prefer to write about these creative deep fried balls of goodness they were freshly serving up. There were three different flavors posted, one with sausage, another with pesto sauce, and the last one had mushrooms. As the base, they all had rice and mozzarella cheese in them. We tried the pesto one and it was lighter than we expected, and although it didn't look very big, they were able to cut it in 4 for us to each try a bite. It was super yummy and we would definitely get it again.
The sandwich was mozzarella, eggplant, and roasted red peppers. It was a cold sandwich, and although it was definitely a great combo, reminding me of a caprese, there was a dryness to it...either it had been sitting for too long or perhaps they needed to add some of that pesto sauce from the balls in the sandwich to make it work better. Otherwise, it was light and we did enjoy our bite.
3.5 stars for the sandwich. 4.5 stars for the unnamed balls...actually I'm sure they had a name, and I just forgot it. Regardless, you should go and check them out on Sunday at the Grand Bazaar.
We will be there too.
We always appreciate when a local business does food better and more creatively than the line of chain restaurants next door.
Absolutely amazing!! I tasted these rice balls at Grand Bazaar NYC on 77th and I can say I have not had any like them in the whole city! 6 stars would be given if possible
