China King

It’s saaaahhhh ight. It’s take out not gourmet.

I was in need of a new go-to Chinese takeout place and decided to try China King based on the reviews I had read here. I walked in on a Friday after work during a snowstorm. Apparently the entire county was hankering for Chinese food as I stood there and watched the woman at the counter take orders, often times on two calls at once. The fact that there were so many orders was encouraging. It must mean the food is outstanding. Well I ordered and waited. And waited. Others came in after me and left with their food. They appeared to be regulars so maybe that rated quicker service. But I continued to wait. A full 45 minutes later I finally get my food. The food was better than what I've had from another local place (Peking House in Elmsford). And the woman though frazzled was very pleasant and apologetic about the long wait. I however have to give only 3 stars because though the food was good, the wait was ridiculously long and defeats the purpose of take out. I could've had a sit down dinner in that same time frame! I will give it a couple more tries and hope that my first experience was an anomaly.

Amazing service, really nice lady in the front, food was great, fresh chicken wings and pork fried rice, highly recommend.

This little take out only Chinese restaurant is a little treasure. Very tasty. Nicest owner.

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant for takeout. It is owner operated and they couldn't be nicer people. That goes a long way in my book. The food is fresh, delicious and cooked to order. If you have any special dietary needs or special requests they will go out of their way to accommodate you. Prices are reasonable and portion are generous. If you like iced tea, I recommend their home made sweet tea. For a treat, their Chinese doughnuts or apple sticks are also a great choice. I really haven't ever ordered anything from them that I haven't enjoyed. Highly recommended.
