AMAZING!!!! Their pies are incredible and their eggplant heroes are just as good. Mario always greets you with a smile!
I love it! No frills, just friendly, welcoming faces and the heavenly smell of pizza! The menu isn't big but from my grilled chicken pizza experience, I'm sure it's loaded with flavor! The pizza with chicken is made with fried breaded chicken and since I'm trying to eat healthier, the man accommodated me with grilled chicken instead. And I had every intention of bagging half my pizza to go but I'm a "gavone"... the pizza was too delish! Pizza from this place will be my gluten indulgence!
The 1 word i can call this place..Jackpot!! I was looking for a place to take my son and since he is an avid pizza lover, and with the name of Arthur Ave, we had to try. It just so happens the owner, Brian Peroni, was born and raised in the Bronx! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted like family. Brian, Mario and Carmine have welcoming smiles and they all contribute in running the business. Since we were 4, he hurridly place 2 tables together so we can get comfortable. The pizzas come in personal sizes, good enough for 1 to 2 people. Brian prepared our pizzas, with skill and the oven he has bakes the pizzas in record time. The crust is crunchy and the pepperoni and cheese were generous. With his oven, the wait time can be 2 to 4 minutes. Very fast!!!
He also prepared a salad for the 4 of us to share. The leaves were fresh and crisp. He added some vinaigrette and it was the perfect amount. Since it was my son's Birthday, he gave him a free bonbon for later. The place is not too big, but it is big in feelings, family oriented, and flavor. We also got a nicely prepared cappuccino and some Italian cookies to go. We had the perfect lunch time adventure. This place is a true gem in Pleasantville NY! He is also a huge fan of the Sopranos, one of my favorite shows as well. Pictures of the actors which are signed dot the place. You will truly feel as if Brian is an uncle at his establishment.
Carmine and Mario make great pies and sammiches! Sausage & Broc Rabe pie can’t be beat - Figure one per person when ordering!
Really good wood fired pizza. That is all you need to know. The people that work there are also really friendly and nice.
